Daimler decided to 3D print its Spare Parts

Mercedes-Benz Trucks (Daimler), the leader in truck manufacturing, decided to use additive manufacturing to make spare parts. They choose to benefit from the flexibility of 3D printing. When it comes to spare parts, fast delivery is critical. Additive manufacturing enables companies to produce parts on-demand and to distribute production: parts are available rapidly, and they are economical as there are no warehousing costs, nor extensive transportation.

 

Daimler and Spare Parts 3D came to the same conclusion: when it comes to spare parts, 3D printing is definitely a great idea.
