UPS and SAP believe in on-demand production using 3D Printing

News from the 3D printing industry | 17 November 2021

UPS, the shipping giant, is a pioneer regarding the introduction of 3D printing in the supply chain. They already have a dense network of stores on which they leverage to implement distributed production. UPS wants to enable customers to order and receive quickly 3D printed parts. They partner with Fast Radius (a 3D printing service company) for technological performance, and now team up with SAP to create a smart corresponding supply chain.

UPS believes in on-demand production using 3D printing, an opinion which is shared by Spare Parts 3D. You can read our related article about 3D printing’s capabilities.
