DigiPART is SP3D's software platform that transforms physical spare parts inventories into secure, actionable digital assets. It automates part identification, creates digital passports for each component, and evaluates which parts are viable for additive manufacturing — enabling on-demand production and reducing dependency on long supply chains.

A first Digital Inventory pilot typically takes 6–10 weeks from initial data collection to delivery of the first passported parts. Timelines vary based on the size of the spare parts scope and data availability.

No. DigiPART's approach starts from the data you already have — BOMs, maintenance records, part descriptions, and 2D drawings. Where CAD files are missing, our Automated 3D Reconstruction solution (Theia) can generate 3D models from 2D drawings.

SP3D offers two models: a service-based engagement where our team executes the project end-to-end, and a software subscription (DigiPART) where your teams use our platform directly with SP3D's methodology embedded. Both models include onboarding support.

Theia is SP3D's AI-powered platform that reconstructs manufacturable 3D CAD models from 2D mechanical drawings. It combines AI automation with engineering validation to deliver accurate, production-ready STEP files — turning legacy documentation into actionable 3D data in hours, not weeks.

Theia accepts PDF drawings, DXF files, and scanned hand-drawn technical drawings. As long as the drawing contains sufficient geometric and dimensional information, Theia can process it. Our engineering team reviews edge cases where automated processing requires additional input.

Every model generated by Theia is engineer-validated before delivery. Our process guarantees that the output matches the dimensions and geometry of the original 2D drawing. Output files are in STEP format, compatible with any CAD, CAM, or PLM system.

For standard mechanical parts, Theia delivers validated 3D models significantly faster than traditional manual reverse engineering — typically hours to days versus weeks for complex drawings. Turnaround depends on drawing complexity and current queue.

Parts produced through DigiPART's validated workflow match the OEM design specifications. Tolerances and functional requirements are respected. SP3D's approach includes feasibility screening to ensure only parts suitable for additive manufacturing are included in the digital inventory.

Data security is central to our model. SP3D uses encrypted storage and transmission for all client files. We sign NDAs as standard practice. Ownership of all digital assets remains with the client at all times.

Additive manufacturing enables on-demand, local production of parts — eliminating the need for large physical inventories, long-distance shipping, and extended lead times. Instead of storing physical parts, you store digital files and produce only what is needed, when and where it is needed.
