About DigiPART™

DigiPART is a state-of-the-art, AI-based, SaaS solution incorporating years of engineering know-how in the area of additive manufacturing and supply chain. It enables users to rapidly and accurately assess the technical and economical printability of parts, individually and by thousands, then print them anywhere in the world.

The solution (frontend/backend/database/queues/workers) runs on Kubernetes in Public Cloud (AWS), and on Private Clouds or even on-premises for customers in sensitive business areas.

The Mission

Reporting to SP3D’s CPTO, you will be in charge of designing, implementing, maintaining, and operating DigiPART’s infrastructure, and you will contribute to adjacent areas of the backend (data modeling, database optimization, workers, and queues).

  • Data modeling and database optimization (through Django ORM, no “pure” SQL although some knowledge can be beneficial)

Who you are

  • A junior software developer,  with a first experience in Kubernetes, ideally with an engineering degree

Role Overview:

As a key member of our delivery team working directly under our Technical-CTO, you will play a crucial role in the operation and delivery of DigiPart Identify projects to our customers. As our AM Engineering Intern, you’ll be integral to our progress, contributing to the development of innovative features and enhancing existing ones. Your work will primarily aim to augment the quality and efficiency of our DigiPart Identify solution. Your scope of work will span across areas such as technical and functional part analysis, costing methods (both AM and conventional), and material science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with the Product Manager in devising and refining product features. For instance, you may contribute to brainstorming sessions for a new module within our DigiPart software.
  • Gather, organize, and sustain a robust database of critical technical data, such as material properties, process parameters, and part designs, supporting our developmental and operational activities.
  • Create innovative techniques and tools for the identification of parts suitable for additive manufacturing. This could include developing an algorithm for automated design analysis or a material selection process.
  • Record and document your developmental activities, which might involve creating a risk analysis report, performing FMEA for a particular manufacturing process, or drafting SOPs for newly introduced workflows.
