Role Overview

As an Additive Manufacturing Engineering Intern focusing on Process Improvement, you will report directly to the Engineering Head and play a critical role in enhancing the operational efficiency of our DigiPart Identify projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • AM Process Improvement: Establish and maintain a continuous improvement strategy for our technical database, encompassing AM technologies, materials, machines, and cost models.
  • Industry Collaboration: Source and qualify key applications by technology and material by establishing connections with relevant industry partners, including Machine OEMs, feedstock providers, and service bureaus.
  • Technical Research and Documentation: Write a technical paper on the DigiPART model’s accuracy, focusing on technical recommendations and cost estimation.

This role is an excellent opportunity to dive deep into the additive manufacturing processes, offering both hands-on experience and theoretical research opportunities.

Team Collaboration

  • You will collaborate closely with our operational teams across Europe and Asia, ensuring a cohesive strategy across all technical fronts.
  • Comprehensive training on DigiPart Identify project delivery will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge.

Learning Opportunities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of continuous process improvement strategies within the AM field.

Candidate Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Quality-focused with a pragmatic approach to process improvement.
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn and contribute to team success.
  • Excellent team player, proficient in collaborating across diverse groups.
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
